My love for Kid Rock knows no bounds

I got to see Kid Rock play at Comerica Park last summer and went begrudgingly because a client invited — little did I know that it would be the best concert of my entire life. Don’t believe me? Here’s a (poorly filmed, but awesomely captured) taste of the awesome: Picture going into Bawitdaba.

Anyway, Kid was on Live from the Artists Den on PBS this week and it was FANTASTIC. It includes some historical information about Graceland as well and features Kid speaking from heart about what it really means to be a crossover artist. These days, crossover simply means that you’re able to get a song on multiple charts, but when you think about Elvis and Kid Rock both crossed rock, country, and gospel and moments where you could truly hear inspiration from all sides in their music.

At about 19:15, Kid Rock goes into “Burning Love,” one of my favorite Elvis songs of all time.

Watch Kid Rock on Live from the Artists Den on Hulu

WARNING: Ladies, you make think you’re immune from Kid Rock’s charms, but you watch him long enough and you too will realize how unbelievably attractive a middle-aged man with a ratty ponytail who you know has Hep B can be.
